Founded in 2019, Arnhem (NL) and Essen (GER) based trio LANZENSTICKER have set out on an adventurous journey through space and time to brush off the thick layers of dust from the genre of jazz. Since then Alexander Pielsticker (piano), Leon Milan Kunze (bass) and Marius Lamm (drums) have never failed to prove their unmistakable style, ranging from intricate modern jazz compositions over grooving funk bops to virtuosic free improvisation, spiced up with a tasteful chunk of humour. With their records “Private Injazztigation” (2020) and “Jetzt erst recht” (2021), they have delivered shiny and fresh musical experiences that always manage to surprise.
